The Super Review 

We've all seen book reviews before. You've probably seen whole sites devoted to them. So what makes this site so 'Super'?

To start with, the Super Review is dedicated to those literary giants in masks, capes and tights. No, not 50 Shades. Superheroes. This is a website dedicated to the prose form of our beloved crime-fighters and vigilantes, whether it's established characters from the comics of DC and Marvel, or all-new original characters.  

Okay, that's pretty good. But there's more.

The reviews here go beyond the superficial good or bad and delve deeper into the mechanics at work. Not content with describing and rating the plot and characterization, we look at why something worked or didn't work, and what should have been done. 

On this site, the leading texts of the superhero genre are picked apart so that the next generation of meta-human literature can be the heroic prose we deserve. And the prose we need.

The Author

A Creative Writing graduate, Mass Communications Masters student, published short-story author and professional content writer.  

Hiding behind the mask of anonymity, our humble protagonist crusades against the prevailing apathy. Driven by a love of books and an enthusiasm for the costumed community, I'm on a mission to make the literary superhero genre take off the way it has in films, games and more, by highlighting the mistakes of those who came before.
